Heinz Nussbaumer is a prominent Austrian editor and author of several books on inter-cultural and inter-religious topics. For more than two decades he criss-crossed the sky as Foreign Affairs Editor of the influential Austrian newspaper KURIER, than − for a decade − he was Spokesman for two Presidents of Austria. Now, Prof. Nussbaumer is Publisher of Die FURCHE, a spiritual-oriented weekly. His most famous book, translated in many languages, is Der Moench in Mir [A Monk Inside Me], dedicated to his regular pilgrimages to the Holy Mt. Athos, now for 28years. Nußbaumer is a personal friend of the Dalai Lama and a regular interlocutor of top religious leaders in Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
