Over 2,500 years ago, Patanjali told us that pain and suffering could be avoided if only we would calm our  minds by following the "correct practices" of yoga and meditation. He sets out a complete philosophy of yoga as he lists the obstacles to attaining increasingly elevated levels of meditation and gives us methods to overcome them and experience samadhi. Together we will explore this foundational text of Raja yoga and learn its ancient lessons in the science of meditation.
