Essentials of Yoga and Vedanta: Practice and Philosophy

In this 5-day intensive course, Swami Sitaramananda will help you become aware of the relationship between your conflicts and sufferings with your mistakes in thinking about yourself and the universe. You will be exposed to the different methods of self enquiry and how to progress in seeing more correctly about yourself and your life. You will learn the true meaning of Vedantic discrimination, detachment, tranquility and peace, self control, faith and mental balance. You will appreciate and see in a positive light your own inner yearnings and inner dissatisfaction and learn to ask the right questions as a seeker after truth. The classes will include theory and coaching sessions in self-enquiry.

Please plan to arrive on April 24; the Course Inauguration will be held at 11 am on April 25th. Graduation will be at 4 pm on April 29. Students will receive a certificate of attendance.


Course Schedule

Your course schedule has been designed to provide a holistic educational experience, and includes course presentation time, meal times, and free time for you to enjoy the beach and the grounds and participate in the ashram’s daily programs:

Morning and evening satsang: community gatherings for meditation, chanting & teachings; sometimes a silent beach walk.

Yoga asana & pranayama classes: available on outdoor ocean and bayfront platforms (beginner and intermediate levels offered twice daily).

It is the ashram tradition to open and close with a ceremony to bring auspicious blessings on each course. Specific times will be available on-site.
