Marc Halpern (Siva)

Marc Halpern (Siva), DC, is a chiropractor, Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, and certified Sivananda Yoga Teacher. Founder and President of the California College of Ayurveda, Dr. Halpern is the author of the popular book Healing Your Life: Lessons on the Path of Ayurveda and two textbooks. A leader in the field, he is also cofounder of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and the California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine and sits on the advisory boards of Light on Ayurveda Journal in the United States and the Journal of Research and Education in Indian Medicine in India.

Maya Tiwari
Maya Tiwari is an outstanding spiritual leader who has been praised by the Parliament of World Religions for her global work in fostering wellness, peace and inter-faith understanding. The founder of Wise Earth School of Ayurveda and Mother Om Mission, Maya is an expert in Ayurveda and Vedanta and also an acclaimed author. At the age of 23, she survived ovarian cancer. Trained in the ancient wisdom tradition of Veda Vyasa, Maya walks a simple, accessible life in service of all. Maya received the prestigious Dhanvantari International Award and Rishi Award for her quarter-century long pioneering work in Ayurveda.

Robert Sachs

With an educational background and training that is as conventional as it is 'alternative,' Robert Sachs is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a licensed massage therapist, yoga instructor, and has been a student of Indian and Tibetan spiritual and healing traditions since the early seventies. Along with his wife, Melanie, Robert runs Diamond Way Ayurveda, the foremost promoters of Ayurveda in the spa and beauty industries. Along with Melanie and Robert’s newest release, Ayurvedic Spa, Robert is the author of 9 books on ayurveda, astrology, feng shui, conscious dying and Buddhism.

Melanie Sachs

Melanie Sachs is recognized internationally as one of the foremost authorities for Ayurveda to the spa industry and has practiced and taught in this field since the mid 1990's. She is featured in numerous spa and health magazines and is a frequent presenter at healing and spa conferences worldwide. Her book, Ayurvedic Beauty Care, is considered a must for those interested in natural and conscious body care. She is the co-author with her husband, Robert of Ayurvedic Spa which is a classic guide for spa and massage therapists and individuals interested in home spa techniques.

Sarita Shrestha

Sarita Shrestha is renowned in Nepal as their first female Ayurvedic physician. A Doctor of Ayurveda who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, she also has a diploma in acupuncture and a certificate in yoga therapy. Trained in both classical Ayurveda and allopathic medicine, she has a unique capacity to help Westerns integrate the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. She has been in clinical practice as a physician for more than 25 years and provides free healthcare services to thousands of people in India and Nepal. She is Founder/Director of the Devi Ma Kunja and Ayurveda Rural Hospital in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur.
