Please share what you do in 10-15 words.

I am a Thai yoga massage teacher, founder of the Lotus Palm School, and an author.


What are you currently fascinated by in your work?

The yoga therapy in Thai massage. The founder of this art is Jivaka Kumarbaccha, a renowned Indian Ayurvedic doctor and yogi.


Why do you do what you do?

To teach people to touch spiritually, respectfully, safely, and in loving-kindness. I cannot imagine a more beautiful and rewarding gift that one can share.


How did you come to your path? Any aha moments or key teachers?

I first met my teacher, Asokananda, at a Hare Krshna Sunday feast in Penang, Malaysia, my hometown. Later on I found out that on our life journey, we had both spent time in some of the same landmark temples, schools, and centers around the world. It was meant to be that I finally met him in my hometown.


What book(s) are you currently reading?

I am reading Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse and Buddha by Karen Armstrong. It is interesting to draw a comparison in the fictional story of Siddhartha and the historical account by Karen Armstrong of the Buddha.


Have you been to the Yoga Retreat before?

Oh, yes. And for the past 9 years my two children (11 and 13 years old) have accompanied me during their school spring break. To me that is the most precious experience we will continue to cherish and look forward to.
