Lila Lolling

Lila Lolling is a Sivananda yoga teacher and prior sign language interpreter. She merged her two passions and founded the DeafYoga Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the benefits of Yoga to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community members. She has been an integral part in the translation of classical yoga texts into American Sign Language (ASL) and a strong advocate for the certification of Deaf and Hard of Hearing yoga teachers.

She has been featured in Yoga Journal, Yoga International, ABC News as well as a long list of other publications and media channels.  In 2009, Lila was awarded "New Yorker of the Year" by television channel NY1 for her efforts.  She has written several articles on Deaf Yoga including articles published in India's magazine Ability News. Lila is also the producer of the Deaf Yoga for Beginners DVD and a strong ally for teaching yoga to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community members.
